Dash repair journey - Leather dashes are a pain!

My 550i has a leather dash, and it started peeling away in the last 4-8 months. while I could financially pay to have a new dash installed, I didn't come to own a BMW because I can afford things - I do it because I work on them myself, and this would have gone by the wayside if I had to spend thousands of dollars on something this cosmetic.

That being said, I watched the video below and decided to try to fix the dash myself since - what's the worst that could happen, it still needed replaced? I'm happy at this point with the outcome, and will probably work on it more in the future. I spent about 2 hours, so the 15 minutes in the video is probably more for professionals.

I used a 22 gauge needle and the Bish leather solution. I started with my own hands holding down the leather, and went to foam supports.

Yes, Bish tear mender. I'll PM you the 2 things I ordered from the 'Zon.

Foam supports = the softer strips of packing foam (a cushion like / closed cell based foam).
