Interesting... How much did you pick up the BMW for? Long live purchases at the end of the depreciation curve!!!! I love what you are doing, if my wife would let me I'd be flipping cars. I'd love to see some more of the financial side of how it is going for you! Probably not a main source of income but why not let your hobbies make you a few bucks, right?

wow dude, you see people on here that still have loans on these cars for over 20k! Great deal man.
Do you have a license or are you bidding on auctions that don't require one? |

Valve Cleaning
Sorry, I missed this last message.
Currently I've been bidding at auctions that don't require a license. Mainly Copart, however I would like to get a dealer's license as some point. My dad sold cars for 20+ years so I've been around it my whole life.

I am definitely looking at a 1 series from copart to strip into a track car. With the mods I've already done on the f10, it's got an identity crisis going on...

Makes sense. That would definitely be a cool build. Keep us posted.

Did you buy at local lot? If not, how much you pay for shipping?

Yea, i'm looking for something I don't care about stripping the interior off of, welding a roll cage in, building a track car. I'd like to do that to my 535 but 1 - it's not the right platform to do that on and 2 - it would ruin the value of the car. Buy something salvaged at copart and then you wouldn't care about doing something crazy!

There are several here further along than me, but what I've done so far is all in my signature. I'll go with a bigger turbo and keep stock internals then probably focus more on looks than performance. 500WHP will be fine with fuel, meth and a turbo. If I still want more, than it's time to go to copar and pick up a 1 series and at that point I'd probably do a full build. I just like learning and figuring out problems... and driving like a mad man.

I have used the CRC GDI cleaner in the past when I was getting a few super knocks like a year ago. It cleaned up the carbon that was causing preignition for me.
I'm MHD stage 2 93 and E30 with catless gutted downpipe, upgraded LPFP, FTP chargepipe, S55 plugs at .018. installing Glus intercooler today for stage 2+ fun times. |

There are several threads where we all took pics of this job and gave our thoughts, I can look for it and post a link if you'd like - I think it is the oil catch can thread.

Didn't realize this old thread got brought back up. Anyone done walnut blasting on the n63tu motors? seen a difference?
my car only has 46k miles on it right now, and since i've owned it (since 12k miles) i've done the 6k mile oil changes, and stayed on other maintenance. i haven't done ANY of the things mentioned in this thread.... |

i've seen some good buys on the copart auctions, the complications of these german cars, tend to scare people away, and they tend to get mis diagnosed sometimes.... |

Just noticed a tiny leak on my valve cover and want to get this done asap. FYI if anyone is in the Socal area and needs this done, the shop I go to, Studio RSR quoted my $250 for labor to do the valve cover replacement. CHEAP AF. Just looking out if anyone needs this done who lives in my area. |
