Recently had the car in the shop because I twisted my front drive shaft after doing an awd launch. It’s been sitting for about 4 days and when I went to turn it on to let it warm up to operating temp the oil level was below minimum according to the sensor. Is it possible the sensor went bad or is the sitting of the car messing with the sensor? I WAS leaking fluid but that was from my transfer case after the twisting of the drive shaft pulled out the output flange, so it is completely seperate issue. Replace sensor?

Yea. It was actually slapping the side of the transmission too. I was lucky enough it didn’t do enough damage to actually break anything. I got super lucky.

I would change it out, better safe than sorry for such a vital area of the engine.

Oem is about $230. I’ve found others for like $50. Still with oem or oe?

I would stick with OE. Imagine cheaping out only to find out that your engine is blown because the cheap sensor was reading incorrectly
