I noticed this when I tried to Photograph the display. Lot of reflections when the sun angle is at the "Wrong " Place!

Any way here are two pic of the Display just to prove that week 9 build came through!

Are the red stripes in the display on all the time? I guess they look like the BMW logo that comes up on I-Drive right? Maybe just me, they look distracting.

I will have to look at one of these when I get to the dealer next time.

Damn it I'm really jealous!

This instrument panel should have been in the f10 from the getgo. Putting it in halfway in the year is ridiculous. I want this more than the new ConnectedDrive, which is also not retrofittable.

To those of you who already have your F10s:

I notice (from inspecting the pics above) that there are two color options - 1) white dials with white numbers in them and 2) white dials with red/orange numbers in them - can both settings be used at night time or during the day time, or is one color scheme attached to the headlights/interior lighting such that it should only be used at night time/day time only?

Color schemes are fixed, headlights on = orange (night), headlights off = white (day)

Except when your headlights are on during twilight, and your gauges are orange, but your info display (miles, MPG, etc.) Is white.

Has anyone in Australia got their cars with the colour HUD and black panel?
Looks cool - saw it on the GT and 7 only.

We get HUD as standard so hope we get the panel too.

does this mean you can't change the orange color, except by completely reprogramming the lcd?
and whats with the 'warp drive' lines?

Just collected my 535 M sport today. Jan 11 production. It has the full colour HUD, including the speed limit recognition system, and, it does not have the full black panel. It has the previous dash display.

Yep, but BMW has a habit of changing things on their vehicles constantly. If you wait for the latest of everything you will never buy. The old dash is not too bad !

I have a 528i on order, week 18 build. Sport, Nav, Premium, Premium Sound. I've looked at the current brochure but I can't tell for sure what's what. I wasn't even aware of this feature during my test drives so I don't remember what the displays looked like. Any Canadian owners out there who can tell me if my car will have the full black panel? No HUD on my car.

The technology available on these vehicles is really something else.
