2011 550i CCP Recall Gave Rough Idle Then Blew Up DME????
Talked to my local SA a month or so ago about the CCP and if my car was in need of the recall work. After a quick run of the vin, he confirmed that my car needed the CCP recall performed so I set the appointment.
Dropped the car off, and two days later I got the call that the car was finished. 8 brand spanking new injectors, new MAF film, the whole 9 (everything BUT the timing change). Drove it off the lot and it felt like it was short on power, but they said "the computer just needs to re-learn your driving habits." I accepted this lame excuse for about half a day at which point I started feeling a rough idle. Called my SA back, and dropped it back off. On the way there it threw a CEL and the misfire and roughness got MUCH worse. They ran tests and confirmed that all injectors and coils were performing fine and somehow they wrecked the DME in the process. Car has been there for a week now awaiting a new DME. Anyone else had this issue EVER on the CCP????? |

The car is BACK at the dealer. The dealership over torqued a ground bolt, there fore frying the DME about two weeks ago. It went back again due to severe miss fire resulting in DMF. Cylinder #1 injector was replaced again when they fried the DME and now c#1 is dropping out again. Any other ideas?
