What's up guys.
Got a bms stage 1 tune on my 550i. My buddy has a supercharged e92 m3 MT, I believe making 475-500 crank hp. I recall he said he runs high 12s on the 1/4 mile. My other friend has a RWD n54 335i AT running jb4 stage 2 I believe he's somewhere about 350-360 to the wheels. What can I expect running against them both ? |

I seen a youtube video of a 550i stock running a e92 335i with jb4 on map 2 on stock turbos pretty much even from a go and after 100mph the 550i starts to pull.
You may lose to the SC M3 though by how much? I don't know... both v8 and the e92 m3 is 3704lbs opposed to the 4300lb 550i... If you have an XI you would have the advantage off the line for sure. |

Your 550 puts out about 380-390whp stock. With BMS, you'll be up to about 440whp.
Your biggest advantage against the M3 is if you have xDrive for a better launch and better torque curve. The M3's torque is only about 260 lb/ft at the wheels. Your 550 with BMS will have over 300 lb/ft at 2k rpm while the M3 will be at about 210-220 lb/ft. Despite the weight disadvantage, I think you will tie or beat the M3 at launch to the 1/8 mile. The M3 will catch up by the 1/4 and might even edge you. It will be a close race is what I'm saying. The 335 will probably lose by .3 - .5 secs |
