Need some feedback on a 550x lease

The list is $79,850, selling price 74,000, mf .00130, 10K/36 months, $725 doc fee, and about $3000 in taxes.

The residual is .60 or 47790.00.

$1400 total initial payment, $964 month.

Lots more stuff on it than I need, but it's close. AW/brown interior.

It's big and bulky, it didn't feel to nimble on the test drive(runflats ) so my guy reaction was to wait a couple years for the update to an M5 awd.

Any comments or thoughts appreciated.

A couple thoughts, tough to comment on how you felt about the ride since its your opinion that you weren't impressed. I'm not going to talk you out of it but I have a 2011 550i and new one on the way in March and I enjoy the car. Ill leave it to the savvy board members to ask what options it had and why the drive quality was what it was.

As for your lease deal I think you can do better. My 2014 550ix deal on a $82k msrp is $937/mo (with tax) with $825 acquisition fee, no other money down outside of 1st payment. That includes 15k miles/yr and a 36 mo lease.

The residual should be 60% for 12k and higher for 10k (62%?). The money factor worked out to an effective apr of 3.99% I believe.

If you have been driving the e60 since 2006 its definitely time to treat yourself.

Hope this helps.

I think the deals were a little better a few weeks ago. The car was a great car no doubt and it's hard to get the feel of it in a few miles. I guess I'm used to a little more connection to the road, but I could probably get use to it very quickly.

I'll keep checking and appreciate the feedback. I'm sure your new one will be awesome. What did you put on it as for options? Colors?

Thanks. I would go for it as its definitely a heavier car but good feel overall.

Have carbon black with black gut but switching it up to space gray with mocha nappa.
I ordered X Drive with:

Exec package
Lighting package
B&O Stereo
Msport
Top & Side cameras
Heated seats

Good luck!

Sounds like great colors, grey is my alternate choice.

Going through my numbers something isn't adding up:

Depreciation Fee = ( ($73365 + $725) – $47790)) ÷ 36 = $731

Finance Fee = (($73365 + 725 + 2556) + $47790) × .00130 = $162

725 acq fee, 2556 taxes

Monthly Lease Payment = $731 + $162 = $893

including taxes

does not equal $964 quoted by dealer

Money factor .00130 x 2400 = 3.12%

Agreed, I didnt run it through the lease calculator but that number sounds about where you should be given the numbers you shared above.

Garage List
B  [0.00]
There is a dealership out of Nebraska that has the best prices around. They are legitimate as one of my friends did purchase a car from them at the advertised price. No come-ons. I used them as the basis for my negotiations with my dealership. They did not match the price but came very close. Here is the link to one that they are advertising with a MSRP of 79,680. Purchase 70,500 or lease no money done 820 per month plus tax. I do know they deliver for a reasonable fee to anywhere in the US.

Thanks for the lead. $820/month is "reasonable."

Or you can opt to take over a lease........I'm putting my 550xi on the market. Payment is $839 a month and it comes with lots of extras. M sport, and lighting package. 70k MSRP. Car is garaged and driven on weekends with 4300 miles.

That's a lot of money! $1000/month without taxes? That's insane. You can get a fully loaded M5 for $1200-1300/month and one with mildly options just for $1100/month. I would never pay that kind of money for a standard 550.
