A few shots of the the Stage 4 Intercoolers install. Dinan suggests about 5.9 hours for labor, which it takes all of the suggested 5.9 hours for this first install on our shop car. I imagine the next one will be faster and we are shooting to offer at 5.5 labor. First customer coming next week for install.

Here are the photos...more to come later.

Stock intercoolers coming out.

Side by side, this driver side intercooler gave us some minor fitment issues. But the passenger side went right in. Bottom tabs needed to be drilled out a small amount to get a factory like fit.

Intercoolers are installed and car is going back together.

We finished up the car last night and tuned this morning. Also installed the H&R lowering springs along with the HREs. I am very impressed with the power gain and it is most noticible on the freeway at higher speeds. The wheels and suspension are perfect, we are glad we went with a slightly lower drop.

EDIT: Some better shots

Nice! I agree with the power and also find the delivery of it to be smoother than stage 3. I have to drive it more so the car can learn and adjust to the new setup and me. Your car is looking good. Have a safe weekend.

Installing lowering springs to the F10. We use the factory spring compressor on all F Series installs. This eliminates the shock/strut housings from scratches, etc. It isn't cheap, but it makes all the difference when working on a customer's new car.

Assumed that's what that contraption was for but never heard it explained until now. So the compressor keeps them locked down and you slide them in under the guards and gradually release them?

Good to hear you're looking after the interests of your customers, even if it is under the wheels arches

The spring clamps are molded to each BMW factory fitment, so we have about 4-5 different clamps that we've ordered for various models. So there isn't a hook style clamp holding the spring, but an angled perch. There is no slop or slipping when removing and reinstalling the springs. It works very well and removes the potential for scratching from a traditional more universal style spring compressor.

Installed BMW Performance CF mirror caps. Just waiting on the BMW Performance front splitter to become available to install that piece and that may be it. But I am strongly considering SS midpipes.

Quick shot with the new mirror caps.
