Smile Ordered my 2011 535i last night

I placed an order with my local dealer for a 2011 535i last night. They gave me a production number and a delivery date of late April to early May. Production is supposed to start the second week of March. They didn't have the final pricing figures but should have them by the end of the week. The options list is identical to the 550 GT.

The cars aren't supposed to hit US dealers until June/July. Are you sure your dealer knows what he is doing lol?

From what the dealer told me, the production dates have been moved up to March/April. I can post a copy of the paperwork I received with my production number and production date tonight.

My dealer also gave me screen shots of the options list from the ordering system. I'll post those as well.

When I want something bad enough, price isn't an issue. LOL.

They game me an estimate of $65k MRSP based on the options I chose.

If true, that is very good news! I hope it means I can do ED in June instead of July. Looking forward to the screenshots.

FYI, The US sports package on the 535i comes standard with 19" staggered wheels (Style 331). I was unaware of this. It looked like all of the test cars in Portugal had the sports package, but had 18" wheels. IMO the 331 style wheels look the best on this car.

Does the car come standard with iDrive + Nav?

I'm pretty sure all models come standard with iDrive. I think Nav will only be standard on the 550i.

Garage List
2011 535i  [0.00]
I went to my dealer last weekend to order a new 535i. I'll be the first one to come to the dealer, but they told me too the earliest it would be in would be mid-June.
They expected to have the options list and pricing by the NY auto show, or slightly before then.
I just have to wait for the final options list so they can place the order.

Nick --- Thanks for the post! Would you mind posting that option screenshot? I was in meetings all day and had an email from my salesman saying that he was ready to put in my order. I'd love to get a preview of what might be available on the car. Thanks!

I did order the sport package. That's a must have in my book.

The dealership is East Bay BMW in Pleasanton.

If production really is moved up as you say then we could expect pricing next week at the Geneva autoshow. But NY auto show in April is more likely.

I noticed on the packages for the 550i GT, the multi-contour seats were on several of the packages. Does BMW give us any discounts/credits when you pick 2 or more packages with duplicate items in them? (I know this is probably wishful thinking )

Yes, you don't get charged twice if anything overlaps between 2 packages.

Nick is right, I live in the UK and I am expecting my 535i around the 3 rd week of April,
so to hit the US will be possibly one or two weeks later due to transport delays.

On the first week of february , UK dealers had a demo version for a few days , I have driven a 535i and it drives like a dream, only complain I had, is that it had to many buttons and possibly you would a college degree before you get to master them

in Europe Satnav is optional but I-drive is standard,

Standard options will vary from country to country, for example in the UK Dakota leather is standard but it is not in other European countries,
