To mold or not to mold.....
Un-molded - Pictures 1-3
Molded - Picture # 4 Advantage of going un-molded is that I can remove if I wish to change it up or sell to someone who does not care for mods. What do you all think? |

Looks so much cleaner molded, but then it becomes permanent. Front lip spoilers are susceptible to damage eventually, so if you mold, be prepared for it to cost you down the road. But like my cousin told me almost 20 years ago when I started modding my cars, "You gotta pay, if you wanna play".

Like Bake said it looks awesome molded but its only a matter of time before you bottom out with a front lip. If you are lucky its just paint damage. Unlucky is when you crack the lip and now you have to replace the whole bumper to fix it. I would never mold anything that is that low to the ground. I've had my F10 for less than 2 years and I've already painted my 3D Design lip 3x because of paint chips or scraping.

if you're gonna mold, buy a replica bumper or a used one with slight damage and mold/repair and paint. keep your clean bumper stashed in the garage for when you may need it later. molding obviously looks much better, but i have a hard time permanently modding perfectly good parts.

If you're willing to risk the damage, which I wouldn't be, you should mold. It looks MUCH better.
On a side note, I've been thinking about getting this lip. How much lower is the front with the lip on? (It doesn't look like that much lower) I have a hamman style lip now, which I think looks great, but I want a lip that I can keep on year round. The hamman lip will never clear certain pot holes and unplowed snowy streets. |

I see you live in Miami. With that weather and the condition of their roads, I would probably do it.

Molding is 100% nicer but it's a pain in the ass! The picture you posted is my car and I had that setup
for about a year and a half and painted/repaired it like 4 times. Like @bake mentioned about. you have to pay to play. i didn't want to play anymore |

The NYC tri-state area has some of the worst roads in the entire US. It is almost criminal here.

No doubt the molded lip looks great, but if even Lacster won't pay to play anymore, it might not be worth it.
