Help needed

I have a 2014 535i x drive sports package and unfortunately there is metal shaving in my engine and the only solution is to change the engine but I cannot find it anywhere. The engine is the N55B30A. I have two repair shops searching for it but nothing so far. I live in Michigan. Any help would be appreciate otherwise I will simply lose the car

From my understanding, the only difference between AWD and RWD engine is just the oil pan. One allow the axle to go through it and the other doesn't have a hole. So all BMW that have 35i and 640i will have the same engine like yours. I'd recommend getting one from 2014-2016. You can get a RWD N55 engine and swap the oil pan over. It should work. You should replace the oil pan gasket and all surrounding gasket/seals to avoid any future leaks. It will save you a lot of time, hassle and money in the long run. A leak free experience for 60-80K miles for most people.
