Just had to bite the bullet and did the above to my f10 535d 2012, total cost inc new zf aluminum sump instead of plastic, meaning much cheaper subsequent oil changes was £420 inc vat, all done by Darren well respected zf approved, S&D transmissions Doncaster.
ZF say between 60 to 80000mls , not getting into bmw suggested lifetime debate as quite frankly they talk rubbish.
Result lower gear changes noticeably smoother so glad I did it.
