The turbo itself will do 525whp/500wtq with supplemental fueling, but I'm not looking to go there right now (if ever) Not really practical on a daily driver to me, not to mention not cheap. A solid port injection system costs as much as the Pure stage 2 turbo does!
So Pure Stage 2... how much is this costing you + the labor from Mission to get the turbo installed and tuned.

I imagine I'm making precisely what Mission Performance claims the tune is good for, given dynos made available from others. I had hoped to dyno mine before but I'm not positive I can fit it in my schedule.

Pure Stage 2 N55 turbo unit is $2500. It will be installed either by myself or one of my techs at the BMW specialist shop I work at here in Houston. Typically I do all my own work but I may pass on this job as it's a big one and again, time wise I'm not sure I could get it done.

The turbo install on our cars is a 10-12 hour job by the book. It is not easy nor fun.

I'm not sure if Mission Performance has a finalized pricing hierarchy that includes the yet to be officially offered flash for FBO+ Pure Stage 2, but whatever it is I'm more than sure it's money well spent. Alex has never ceased to amaze me with how accessible he is to his customers and his level of service and experience are unrivaled in his industry.

Alex MissionPerformance flashed me remotely to tweak my tune for the time being last week. Everything is working well!

The Pure Stage 2 turbo will be in my hands tomorrow. Its with UPS right now. I'm hoping to get it installed this week or this coming week end, then get back with Alex for a retune.

I should be making 315whp/425wtq per Alex on the Stage 1 tune. We have existing dynos showing these numbers. I doubt I'll have time to dyno the car before hand.

Ok so we are at the same WHP numbers, you are getting about 60 more torque than me...

Curious to see the Turbo numbers then ill decide if i wanna upgrade.

Are you x-drive or rwd? Looking forward to seeing how much torque you can handle safely on the auto trans. So far 450wtq is holding for people.

For those few of you running the MP stage 1 tune on 91 octane, how many of you experience a surge/boost spike from 3-4k rpm during WOT in 1-2 gears? Sometimes if I am heavy on the throttle in Sport/Sport+ I feel like boost comes on not so smoothly, and a few seconds delay before going back to boost. Could a catless dp fix my issue, or is 91 gas really not that suitable for the tune? My car only has 34k miles with 5k oil change intervals so I doubt there is anything wrong with the car.

When did you flash your car? If not recently hit up Alex for the latest update as you may have boost targets set to hit hard in that range. DP is not the issue ask Alex to maybe pull back the throttle settings to be less aggressive or back to stock throttle and let sport mode handle that. Personally I like my throttle super aggressive, but I also have my throttle settings tuned coupled with sprint booster and I have a manual. If it's jumpy in sport mode I'm guessing remap the throttle position and retune how boost comes on. Which gear are you in when this happens?

I had Alex flash my car back in June. It usually happens in gears 1-3, only in Sport and Sport + modes though.

I was wondering if it would be possible that normal mode and sport modes are tuned differently with different set boost targets? Possibly different fuel maps? Power comes on a lot differently with normal mode and the boost does not feel spiky at all. I guess if I had JB4 I would be able to monitor more info on my car but now I am relying on the P3 gauge that is all, lol. I've tried OBDlink before and I couldn't get it to connect with my phones or tablets.

Sport mode changes your throttle for sure. Turbos are "surgey" by nature. You can have it tune to scale, just talk to Alex about that.
