KW3 vs. CKS C1

Can someone explain the difference between those two? And which one is better?

Thank You!

I can't say which one is better but I'm glad I made my choice. I have no complaints about my CKS coilovers. Thanks alex!

There's a few other members that can probably chime in about their thoughts of he CKS coilovers. Especially 78mao since he's had them on the longest. As for KW's check out luigimaster 's thread, he put a nice review about them. Lacster has them also, and jakeem had them on his ride too.

HHA!

I love them and have no problem with them at all since March.

For the price its awesome! I ve taken my car to the canyons a few times and I drove on them pretty hard on the stiffest setting and so far its still pretty awesome! No problems or clunks or anything after driving. Definately best price for ride and performance.

I know that KW3 has the dial for the comfort, does CKS have something similar to that? And i know that you can raise/lower the KW3. Can you do the same with CKS?

Thanks again.

Cks is adjustable as well. Both are nice and definitely the best options compared to lowering springs.

I'm currently on h

yes the CKS has dampening adjustability as well.
if u want to go deeper u can even adjust the dampening by the compressing the spring rates on them as well. so not just on the shock but also on the springs to make it more compressed to have stiffer or softer setting.

Are those two the only coilovers for the F10 so far?

I believe a member on the forum has coilovers from Megan racing.

I personally have to say that coilovers eclipse lowering springs on this car. I am driving on h

Anyone know how much they cost? Where's a good place to get them install at? And how much the labor would cost?

I am the one with the Megan Racing, all I can tell you is it rides alot smoother then springs. So far I had them on for about 2 weeks no problems whatsoever. The benefit of Megan Racing is that they are in Socal for easy warranty or tech support.

I wrote two posts using the iPhone app for this thread and both times it cuts out and doesnt upload the rest of my responses!

Here is what I meant to write both times.

I am currently riding on H&R sport lowering springs as I wanted my Comfort/Normal/Sport/Sport+ features back and working properly. Because of this though the handling characteristics of having coilovers vs lowering springs is exponentially different.

The coilovers with their more agressive spring rates + dapeninging even though the ride is firm is also very forgiving because of the rebound adjustements. While the H&R springs are soft and very floaty in comfort-normal settings, and the rebound is better on sport-sport+ settings. But the springs and the cars response is no where near the coilovers. If I were to rate the H&R to the KWs I would say the KWs are atleast 9-10 times better conservatively.

I am so over having those buttons even though my car's throttle response is better in sport+ and having the active sway bars is nice. I'd rather have the handling characteristics and responsiveness back of driving with the coilovers! It really is that much better.

Like my response in luigi's KW V3 review thread....The car with the coilovers drives like how a BMW should have come from the factory. It very well reminds me of all the driver oriented setup that BMW has made for all of its other cars. Even the older 7 series drives better than a stock f10.

^Very interesting jaekeem, that the difference seems to be that significant.
I must say, I love to try a F10 with some KWV3 on.
