Windows coming down on their own overnight?

Anyone else had this issue? I have encountered this five or six times over seven years with four different 5 series (3 x F11 and 1 x F10). They were definitely UP when I went to bed. Worried if it happens parked at the airport/hotel or something.

Shiner it could be the electric window motor
They replaced mine on my other car as it would open itself instantly after closing it even when the vehicle was being switched off.

Happened on my E90 and it was water getting into the drivers door handle which was triggering the universal open/close feature. Does it only happen after it has been raining?

I sometimes come out to an open boot. I think its because i press the button by mistake in my pocket ?

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Neighbour knocking on the front door, "Your boot's open mate." It's easy to do if you slob about on the sofa like me. I wonder if I could get it coded to only open if the car was already unlocked? I'd probably settle for disabling it as pressing the switch on the boot itself is no hardship.

On my E60, the windows come down if you hold down the open button on the key fob for a little while. Probably caused by leaning against this while in pocket!

Thanks for the input guys. I am careful with he keys after I have checked the vehicle at night to ensure I don't inadvertently unlock the car/windows. Will keep monitoring this.
This is the the downside to all this automation!
