Why SW Radio?

One odd thing about the radio - why does it have Short Wave reception? I haven't seen the SW band on anything since my dad had a world radio back in the 1980s. Is Short Wave big in Europe or the US?

For the UK I'd ditch SW and put LW reception on there instead. For the cricket you understand....

Haven't noticed SW on my UK 535d, but I can't say that I've consciously looked for it - I'll check later and let you know.
Do you have DAB?

I believe it may have to do with a Weather Band? I can pick up a crappy sounding weather broadcast, but that's it. Juice not worth the squeeze.

No to DAB - they now force you to have Nav if you want DAB. If you select manual tune on AM the SW option is there.
