Anybody wrap/paint their LCI side markers?

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, but has anyone wrapped or painted their chrome LCI side markers (pictured below). I have seen plenty of different options for pre-LCI cars with the side marker with the indicator lens, but no options for the LCI version. I really hate the chrome appearance and I'm looking to go carbon fiber or matte black.

If anyone has any pictures of what they've done to their LCI chrome side markers, it would be greatly appreciated.

BMW really should have created new tooling and produced a slick fender for the LCI instead of lazily making a sidemarkerless chrome dingleberry for the LCI fender.

Looks so out of place, really the only thing that bugs me about the cars exterior.

A few people have painted/wrapped them but not to many posted the "after" shots. Some info here http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...=546370&page=2

Looking for something ummm..a little less flashy than that (not to mention M badge, really???). Since my car is Alpine White, looking for a contrasting dark color (black).

I just wrapped the fender trim gloss black. I think it goes well with the high-gloss Shadowline trim.

Thanks, looks good.

Was the trim piece difficult to wrap?

No it's easy.

The fender trim is a two piece design, the visible chrome part and a black back plate. When they are separated it's really easy to wrap the chrome.

Thanks.

One more question, how do you remove chrome piece from fender?

If you wanted to really crazy, you could go pre-LCI and put in the turn signal.

I was thinking of that at one point but since it's a lease I'm not going that crazy. I'm just looking for something that's fairly easy to return to stock when I return the car.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Decided to wrap side markers with gloss black 3M paper. After many attempts, I wasn't happy with results (always had some air bubbles or wrinkles). The side markers are very hard to wrap due to their multiple curves.

After the results from the wrapping, I decided to paint them gloss black.

Step 1: Sanded parts with 400 grit sandpaper.

Step 2: Applied 3 coats of Adhesion Promoter to help with paint adhering to plastic

Step 3: Applied 3 coats of Automotive Gloss Black, very happy with the results.

Thanks.

Unfortunately now I have to buy OEM ones ($30/piece) when I turn the car back in when my lease is up.

Hopefully not but I don't have to worry about it for a couple of years anyways.

I installed the painted ones from IND. A little more money but I really like the clean look (plus swapped out the reflectors)
