Blacked out chrome door handle inserts - Any DIY kits interests/ideas?

Trying to get people's opinions on how the blacked out chrome door handle inserts look with the a gloss black vinyl film applied over it.

I know most people would prefer to have color matched door handle inserts, but that's just not practical with vinyl unfortunately.

I haven't had anyone ask me to do it in carbon fiber before, but that could/would be an option as well.

Let me know what your guys' thoughts would be if I could make some DIY kits and what finishes you think would look the best.

It's not necessary to remove the chrome pieces to wrap them, especially if the pieces were pre cut.

I walk in to a BMW shop yesterday and ask them if I could buy a set of door handle insert, thought I could leave them to a paintshop, but they told me that they don´t sell them. I had to buy a new door handle, I did ask how much a set of door handles was.

I do vinyl installations and sell materials.

I am asking you guys on here who would be interested in DIY kits, since I know most don't want to have to take an x-acto knife to their cars.

I was thinking pricing for the pre cut pieces would be along the lines of the same costs that other places are simply charging for just regular materials.

My local tint and vinyl shop wrapped my chrome inserts for $5 per door. Would you be able to meet or beat that price point?

I used 3M black vinyl plastic and it came out ok

8 months and still holding. Didn't have to remove the inserts. Just cut to size and x-a to knifed to trim. Use a sharp blade!

Will try to get some cars in to test some fitment on this week and report back to you guys. I already have the template for these. Just wanted to see if there were any specific finishes or maybe other ideas/input you guys may have.

Thanks!
