Not heard of any issues in UK/ Europe with BMW fuel pumps. You are probably aware that there are a huge number of BMW diesel cars in UK/ Europe and the pumps in these cars are probably the same, regardless of model. So if one were to add up all the 3 &4 series, 5 &7 series, 1 & 2 series diesels sold; if it were an issue it would be highlighted by now.

The only caveat to this statement would be the quality of diesel sold in US; and if that has a likely impact on the fuel pump life.

I as a general rule put the best fuel available in my car (same as AP) and i expect to get many many miles out of BMW diesels. Have run previous BMW cars to excess of 150,000 miles and expect other BMW diesels to do the same, if looked after.

bmw sell additives themselves , probably bot well publicised but the service department of your local dealership will oblige. I assume these are essentially what the fuel companies are putting in their premium fuels.

whether you go for these fuels is hotly debated just google it and you will see arguments both sides so make up your own mind.
