How's the drive (Sport models)
Picked up a 2011 X5 35d Sport last Saturday - my wife's new daily driver.
Fantastic vehicle - I am amazed at BMW's ability to make this 5k lb car feel so light on its feet and connected to the road. Super tight steering, rock solid drive, very little body roll. Feels like it's on rails. Can't say enough about it. It'll be time to replace my aging 2001 e38 soon and I'm leaning hard towards a 2011 535i (or d, if they'll bring them to the states). I've read plenty of complaints of the feel of the drive of the F10 - too cushy, disconnected, loose steering, etc. I don't think these referred to the sport model. As a point of comparison, none of these criticisms apply in the least, in my opinion, to the way my (wife's) new X5 drives. I'm interested in knowing how you think the 535i Sport (or M Sport) feels to drive - particularly as compared to the current gen X5 Sport. Thanks |

I have 528i sport and im coming off of e92 335i and previously an e60 so given the range I would say the f10 sport is impressive, no way on earth can it corner like my e92 335 with sport package but the f10 sport can hold it down, id imagine the 535i msport would be even better... drive the car for yourself and you be the judge, if you want everyday luxury sport and comfort then f10 is for you. If you just want to track on weekends and go to bmwcca events go for 3 series...
