One of the finest cars I have ever driven. I can't wait to get some non-rft's on it!

I feel a little left out. Picked my 535ix non sport in early Oct. Now have over 1000 miles and have experienced none of the problems apparently 95% of people on this board have.

Ran into someone else today at a friends who has a F10 550i Sport Option, no dynamic options purchased in September. Told him about the issues discussed on this board and he thought I was making it up. He previously had a 2008 535i Sport option. He love his F10 550i and has more miles than I have.

I had a 2006 530i non sport. Based on demo F10 the steering was too light compared to my 2006 530i and 2002 530i but compared to Audi A6 didn't feel much different.

When I took delivery of my 535ix the steering was every bit as firm as either of my previous 5 Series. Some say it was because it's a 535ix. Maybe.

I talk however to BMW factory tech who said actually they started programing all F10 differently starting at some point during Sept production, not just x-drive cars and it is much firmer.

All of these positive accounts of F10 ownership are great to see and give some balance against the genuine negative experiences reported on this forum (and some very subjective opinions). I suppose it's down to each owner making up their own mind. 2 days to go for me.

If that is the case, will it be possible for pre Sept build owners to have their cars adjusted to the "new" settings? After reading multiple posts on the dissatisfication with the steering this would potentially go a long way to more satisfied custoners.
