August 2010 Build

I googled without luck, contacted BMW without a response:
I've August 2010 build for 528i.. With Professional Nav and everything..
My understanding is that a new software system (for september or october builds) is available and has more features, such as linking with an iPhone, and having more capabilities in remote controlling the car.

Now: Is it possible to 'update' my nav system and conenctDrive to have these features? Is it just software ? Or there is a hardware modification that cannot be updated?

The Combox upgrade (6VC) occurred in 10/2010. This added some additional music connectivity. There is not a BMW provided upgrade to Combox for earlier cars. The more recent option, 6NR just announced and shipping on 3/2011 cars forward, expands apps functionality on the iPhone, but appears also to not be retrofit capable as of today.

I don't think combox can be retrofitted.

Pretty sure my tourer was built in august and i have the combox. Mane the op does too. I'd be interested in knowing if there is an upgrade available so I can get the flashy light iPod thing going . Oh and maybe I'll also get full postcode search.
