Pre LCi to LCI

Hello I have a question I have halogen headlights in my 2011 BMW 520d that is the ability to replace halogen for xenon headlights ?? Please help, and what will be needed? Only new lamps and recoding of my car?

New lamps, self-levelling mechanism and headlamp wash would be minimum requirement. Coding would be required as well otherwise you will get check control warning messages in the iDrive.

retrofitting headlights usually means changing the LCM (Light Control Module) as well, and that has to be coded to the car.
