BTW I am sharing the idea that LeMans may be the way to go. It will really stand out because no one has a LeMans Blue F10. Will be more distinctive than an MCB M5.

These photos were posted on the M3 board. Very helpful to the discussion:

Interesting to see those two blues together, and I must say the Monte Carlo looks light and pale compared to the deep rich blue of the Le Mans blue.

I think either of those colors would look good on an F10. I don't think those pictures quite capture MCB accurately though - the color is lighter than LeMans but it has a nice sparkle and it looks different at night than during the day. It wouldn't surprise me if it is xirallic.

But LeMans is a very rich color. I think that will be very special, since there will be plenty of MCB M5s about.

Thanks, I would agree with your observations. It's almost like a chess game: on the one hand, painting my F10 Monte Carlo Blue will make it look like the new M5. But wait, if that's a popular color choice for the new M5, then to make my car stand out from the crowd, it should be Le Mans Blue ! Bottom line, as you and others have said, is that I really can't go wrong with either of these great colors. I'm 95% set now on sticking with the Le Mans Blue. One comment someone made on the M3 board that was particularly helpful is that the lighter MCB is great as a sporty color, but LMB works as both a sporty AND elegant shade of blue. That makes sense to me.

I agree with this completely. However I think on the F10 the MCB also looks like a younger color because it is more sporty. But with Tan, I think the LeMans Blue is the way to go. MCB would work better with Champagne or Oyster.

Good point about a tan interior looking better with LMB than MCB; since I'm absolutely set on Dakota Beige, I agree that the darker LMB will offer a better contrast than the MCB. I think I'm ready now to make the final commitment to sticking with Le Mans Blue. Thanks!

LeMans Blue and Beige. It is going to be a stunning car. I'm envious already.

Thumbs up Craziest thread ever..

This is by far the craziest most excessive absurd thread ever read......all over blue.
And all I have to say is 33 different type of blue.
Who in there right mind would go to this extent just for a car.......:confused

We would. Every single one of us! And that's why I love Car forums . Were nuts and we publicly admit it all the time with threads and posts like blue gate, 2012

And about the car .....unfrigginbeleivable!
