Police Wrapped F11 in Norway
Recently the Norwegian Police has acquired new cars to replace the aging Passat fleet in service (I'd say it's quite the upgrade).
Specifications: Moderate equipped 525d (diesel, yes) xDrive's with some special order options from factory. 4 cyl 2.0 211 hp. The price for one of these suckers with the retrofitted police equipment is around 800K NOK (or 95K US). Pictures: Also bonus pics of the X5 that has been in service for some time now. These cars are actually M-sport models, featuring either a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engine with 218, 258 or 313 hp respectively. The price for the top 313 car is around 1.4 million NOK (or roughly 166k US) Bonus pics: (X5 footage starts around 0.40) Last edited by sanders54; 12-07-2016 at 05:36 AM.. |

It's peculiar to me why they wouldn't opt for the Volvo variants??? BMW is cooler but Volvo being a domestic product, they have a pretty bad ass SUV and wagon too!

Volvo is a product of Sweden, not Norway. There is a actually several XC70's in use in the police force, as K9 units (which is a vehicle class Volvo won). Here's a picture: |

I rented a 128 Touring in Bergen a few years ago. The turbo diesel was great and for a small 1 series, it had plenty of room for our gear.
I don't know why the wagons don't sell here in the states, they're practical and look great.
