Will This Setup Work?
Hello!
I just recently purchased my first ever BMW F10 535i with M-Sport and I'm looking at some new wheels and tires. I've seen numerous threads, but I thought I would post one too. The wheels that I'm thinking about have these specs 20x8.5 +35 offset (front) and a 20x10 +40 or 20x10.5 +35 (rear). On these F10's what size would be the best for the rears? 10 or 10.5? I have the M-Sport suspension and do not plan on any type of drop at this time. Tires being considered would be 245/35/20 in the front and 285/30/20 in the rear. Would this setup work without any problems? Thanks! |

Welcome to the bmw world. The fronts will fit fine but of the 2 choices of rears the 20x10 +40 will not rub and you could run a 5mm spacer to make it more flush. The 20x10.5 +35 will work also but will be a little agressive and could possibly rub if you choose to go wider like a 295/30 and lower the car in the future, too bad the offsets aren't the other way around like 20x10.5 +40 and 20x10 +35 then it wouldn't matter which you chose either would fit no problem with a wider tire or if you decided to lower. Of the two options you have the 20x10 +40 is the best choice. |

I'd get the 20x10 ET40 together with those fronts.

I plan on going 20x10 +40 in the rear. I would like it more flush but would the 5mm spacer be necessary? Would it still be pretty flush without it? |

No problem, the 5mm spacer is not necessary unless its not flush enough. See how they look without the spacer and get one if you think you need it, post some pics and get some opinions after they are installed.
