JL are great amp! But you got to think about digital processor w/ Burr/Brown A/D and D/A converters! That make your sound total better! None of JL have built in processor in it! You could add a separate processor to your system but that will costs more & you will have 2 pice instead of one! I think you should listen to any system with & without a processor & than make your choice! I been playing w/ car stereo back in the late 80's & I tell you a d/a processor make a big difference. I not telling you to buy a helix amp but it seem like not have a lot of choices when it come to amp w/ build in processor. I'm using a JL hd 1200 for my sub & loving it!

Exactly. Never understood why people compared our amp with JLs. None of their amp have a built in DSP. Apples to Oranges comparison.

Here's there web @ http://www.audiotec-fischer.de/lng/e...cts/amplifier/. Like I said you should go to a local stereo shop & listen to some system. Then do your homework! Don't do like me! I wasted money on the ifbmw & than k2 & now I'm looking @ P6 DSP & sell the PP 82 DSP because I want more power. Good Luck with your homework!

i think we talked about this on a different thread but i love my K2's in my Titan. may end up pulling the trigger on the Gladen Extremes as i was given a pretty good quote on those which include the front, underseats, center and for the rear the RC 100's. i like what the Bimmertech amp offers but who knows what will be out come end of Winter beginning of Spring. i'll look into the Helix as other's have recommended it. like you, i want to make sure i'm running my components to it's full potential. that Helix, do you know what it'll put out for subwoofer options? and have you looked at other amps?

In my option, if you are going to run a sub in the trunk don't waste your money in the under seats sub like me! I had upgraded to focal sub & you don't feel or hear it! My helix is only 55 watts but this new one is 75 watts. There is one I'm looking at is 120 watts but is only 6 channels. I thinking if of cutting the under seat & running 5 channels + rear sub. Use the money for under seat sub & spend on a better rear sub!

well the underseat is really not a sub somewhat but more to complete your component system...kinda like a 3 way system.

That's bad advice. the underseat woofer are not sub, they're woofers and play midbass tones 80-250hz. if you remove them you won't have any midbass. Subs are 20-80hz.

You don't feel or hear it because is not tuned properly, looks like your sub is too loud. A sub is only there to play 20-80 hz notes.

Yes, but it sound good to me! & that's why I would wait until they come out w/ 7 or 8 channels 120 watts. From 55 watts to 75 watts it's not worth the money to burn & plus now I think I rather spend it on some cover over!

pretty much what Nelson says as that's why i said earlier about the sub really not being a sub but what makes your components a complete system. for the K2's i wish i picked up a 3 way component but didn't want to fabricate the doors. but for the BMW it's nice having the underseats as the midbass and leaving all sub level signals for the trunk sub
