I finally put mine in after being to busy, install was easy, the car was more prohibitive in getting them in than the sub but either way it didn't take too long. The sound fantastic already and I can't wait until they are fully broken in.

I love these subs so much already I am very tempted to get the stage 1 kit eventually. I have become a fan of Bavsounds products!

so right now you're running factory speakers except for the Bav 8's? good to hear you like them! you might as well upgrade to the stage 1 as a whole kit they would compliment your overall system

@cipher5 , I just became their authorized reseller and just installed the ghost woofer yesterday. I love it. Still breaking them in.
I am installing the Stage One today.
I made a before video already. Once all broken in, I will make an after video.
I hope it shows the difference.

Yup, but I have premium sound so it's pretty well matched as it is. There's no immediate need to upgrade, but an upgrade would definitely improve the sound quality that is already pretty stellar with the new subs now that there is more support in the midrange.

Cool! Glad you enjoy them, I can definitely feel the rumble under my bum. :-) Let me know how State One sounds for you! Did you have premium or regular audio in your car. I recently bought TMPS from you guys on ebay, great service! I'll definitely consider you guys when purchasing my Stage 1.

@cipher5 , finished installation on the Stage One yesterday.
I able to test it a little on the way home from office. It is much2 improvement over my stock HK.
I will make the after video on Friday. I am still breaking them in.
Appreciate your business as always.

You will need the white foam gasket for proper sound and prevent rattling. Replace the screws with ones from Lowes as the factory screws break off in the housing and they you are out 500 for a replacement from BMW. I found THESE on ebay, pricey, but a good investment for better seating. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191852273627...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Finally, REPLACE YOUR SCREWS in the seat! They are ONE TIME use and if you get into an accident, you could be hurt or killing if those screws give way.

The factory grills fit back in place with no problem.

There is also no reason to replace the screws with new ones unless you just want to waste money. There is exactly zero chance in hell they will somehow fail and cause the seat to come free.

I jumped on the pre buy, got them early December, & got the gasket & the $15 Amazon card about a week later. I'm very satisfied with them. I had earthquakes on my '08 535i w/HK, but I was missing the mid-bass frequencies & wound up putting back in the OEM woofers. They were never an option for me in my f-10, so I was committed to waiting on Bavsound, & I wasn't at all disappointed.
I have a question, do you recall if your HK replacement Bavsound woofers are 4 or 8 ohm?

By chance, do you know if the logic 7 HK system is supposed to be using the 4 or 8 ohm Bav woofers?

Hi - installed subs a few days ago with gasket (in early release of 2015 versions, China factory forgot gasket) Need more info on (powerlock) screws in seat - they do not look like one-time use and screw in tight to floor.

Speaker enclosure screws are fine if you do not over tighten - they do seem to pick up dirt, so I'd advise cleaning them before re-install.

Carpet/foam padding does lay atop sub, but does this make any difference in a sub?

(yes, I am ignorant of these issues but willing to learn)

Found this on powerlock screws:

POWERLOK® Screws and Bolts
POWERLOK® 2-3 Sharp Crested Lead Threads
Download POWERLOK® Fastener Information

Exceeds IFI locking screw standards - Has locking action you can't wear out!

Applications - Already in use in automotive and other mass-assembly operations. You can use POWERLOK® screws wherever you need - reliable vibration resistance and continued high performance despite repeated assembly/disassembly - using normal tapped holes. They can be used in pre-tapped holes in ductile metals.

FOR BETTER FASTENING AT LOWEST IN-PLACE COST
Enhanced locking ability
Continuous locking action
Resistant to high temperatures
Reusable
No special taps
ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR ADD-ON LOCKING FEATURES SUCH AS PATCHES AND ADHESIVES

Seat bolts are secured using thread lock compound. You don't need to get new ones, you can reuse them, it will not loosen up overtime as long as it is torqued correctly.

Does anyone know if the B&O system uses the same factory underseat speakers as the HK system? and if so, are they upgradeable to the bavsound speakers?

Go to the BavSound.com site and put in your car and select the audio system you have and the site should give you the info you need.

Bavsound site shows their woofers as a replacement for the B&O, but I was wondering if anyone knew if the B&O system uses the same crappy woofers as the HK does.

Does anyone have a before and after video to show difference in sound? I know chances are low, but maybe someone did it?

I'll be doing underseat subs first (before I swap other speakers) and wanted to know if difference is noticeable right away or not really?
