Windscreen Cleaning

I am having a nightmare trying to clean the front windshield (and the rest of course). I've tried with a Microfiber cloth, but that still leave marks. When in the cold whether and rain it is total madness.

What kind of a cleaner/cloth is best to get rid of these wipe & finger marks.

Thanks in advance.

I know this sounds weird, but black and white newspaper and window cleaning solution works pretty well. Other than that, Microfiber cloth is a good bet.

Sorry, it's the inside I am referring to.

I had the very first wash with Hot Foam, engine running with A/C on - when the wash is done I noticed this very thin layer of water vapour. Tried to clean that with the front demister - didn't work. Then tried with the microfibre cloth> It looks cleaned but whenever the rain falls or light flashes patches and marks strongly appear from the inside of the windscreen.

I know the newspapers printed in black are a good solution but haven't tried hoping someone would have a better answer.

I use a foaming spray on the outside followed up by a chemical called rain-x. Inside i use the foaming spray on a bounty paper towel. Look up autosportcatalog and search for windshield cleaner. They sell a foam padded microfiber 'wand' that does a good job.

Over time you might see 'degassification' from the plastics inside the car. On glass it looks like you've had a smoker in the car.

Edit: Autosport window cleaner, window cleaner and don't forget to check the detailing forum over at e90post. A lot of useful info there. There is also a forum member who runs a detailing business and he is literally full of useful tips to keep your F10 looking clean.

I happen to see sort of a sponge with a Microfiber cover in local ASDA. It said it is good for windscreen cleaning. It's only £1.00 and it did the tirck.

Shame that I bought BMW Windscreen cleaner for £6.00 and did not use it

I am a real stickler for clean windows and the very best product I have ever used is called Autoglym. With out any doubt in my mind it cleans glass like no other product. Litterally, after cleaning the windows it appears there is no glass. Autoglym is applied like a polish. You simply wipe it on sparingly and remove with a good microfiber cloth. I have introduced this product to a few friends and they agree with my product performance description.

Agree with autoglym. I also clean my wiper blades with it and it works a treat

1 on the autogylm... (not the fast glass) rain-x on exterior glass... Both of them make the glass look good, no misting and barely need to use the wipers in the rain!!!

Clean alcohol 96% + microfiber works perfect on glass.

Window cleaning

Try Autoglym window polish. I am a nut when it comes to clean windows. I've tried most of the suggestions below. Auotglym by far is the best solution in my humble opinion. After applying it and wiping it off with a microfiber towel you will think you have no window in front of you. It is that good. You can purchase the product on line; I have not seen it in any autopart stores where I live. Good luck.
