Suprise! My F10 didn't come with........
My Jet black 2013 did not have blind spot indicator and heated seats.
Neither was a deal breaker mostly because I was only going to buy one with 6MT but got it home and wife asked where the seat button was! Her 2015 Audi Allroad has both. I have HUD. It nice but not when my butts cold! My car came from Florida. Anyone have any surprise items NOT on their cars?

At least you are in North Carolina and not North Dakota!
In my mind, the 6MT was mandatory and everything else secondary. Btw, pretty Targa! |

I was surprised as well to find my F10 didn't have heated seats. Then again, in TX we use them for 2 weeks to AT MOST 2 months per year. Getting the cold weather package is almost a joke - I've never felt the need for a heated steering wheel in South Texas. When I was skiing in Vancouver, however, that thing was a godsend on my rental.
If they had a hot-as-hell weather package, now THAT that would come in handy. But I'll settle for the power rear sunshade and manual sunshades. As far as the blind spot monitors, you're not missing much. I find that mine don't work nearly as well as Audi's (my wife has a 2016 Q3) and my eyeballs work better than the sensors. I'm not about to leave 2 car lengths to make a lane change.

She's announced she wants a Honda CRV (we've owned five Hondas during our marriage and had great success with them) but she's now saying a CPO X1 looks pretty sweet as long as it has heated seats.

Wow, I couldn't find a 6 spd manual when I got mine a couple of weeks ago, but I do have heated seats front and rear, HUD, blind spot (full driver assist pkg actually), surround view, M-sport. The only options I can find that I am missing are the multi contour seats, ventilated seats, and night vision. My car is a 1 owner California car.
I would have looked for a manual, but I needed a new car ASAP, previous car was totaled by a drunk driver. My car did come with M performance exhaust. Last edited by PJinCA; 03-17-2016 at 03:47 PM.. |

While I couldn't give a shit about blind spot warnings, back up cameras, adaptive cruise control, TPMS, etc, etc, ad nauseum, I don't know if I would ever buy a car again that doesn't have heated seats. A heated steering wheel is pretty darn nice, too.

The problem with the cold weather package is the headlight washers. If I try to clean my windshield the headlight washers spray shit all over the front/sides of my pretty black car (like I need headlight washers in San Diego...). There should be an option in i-drive to turn them off... I think it can be coded out but I have not been able to find a local guy that does coding on an F10. Even my kids like the heated seats in back as it can be chilly at night and California natives tend to wear shorts and flip flops year round...

So the headlight washers don't spray if the headlights are off? I typically leave them on auto and turn on the fogs so they come on in the day time to help get slow drivers out of the way.
