For about 2 weeks now the car is no longer able to get into the BMW online portal, message - 'Cannot connect to mobile network'. Anyone else getting this?

Try rebooting your iDrive.

Turn the radio on. Hold the Volume button down (as if turning radio off) for about 30-40 seconds... this will cause the iDrive to restart.
Then try again...

5 Months old. Car does not receive commands from my iPhone.

I had similar problems few months ago and had to have BMW update the system before the issues got resolved.

Bloody annoying that it looks like the "Send to Car" from Google Maps has gone for good: was the only thing that made connected drive worth having.

I think you can still get it from Google Maps on a PC too.

Go to maps and click the little "?" in the bottom right and select "revert to classic GoogleMaps" and the "send to car" option is comes back.

I can't test this as I've let my sub to Connecteddrive lapse pending getting a new car, let me know it if works.

On the iPhone app click control,, online search, search for the company or tap and hold to drop a pin, click on the white info box above the red dot / pin, and then I get options for directions and send to vehicle appear ..

Hmm I wonder if this works for Mini Connected too, as this was one of the things I bigged up to my Dad when he downsized from his old E34 530i Touring to a Cooper S Countryman.

I'll test it when he's up at the weekend.

Resolved with a software update.
I'm driving a new 420d M Sport Auto as a service car, very nimble car but not as refined as the F10.

Now, this "Send to Car" malarky is not available to Business Media (2014) users, right?

I seem to remember reading that it was, but when I tried to setup and register for Connected Drive I got a message saying there's no point setting you up with a user name and password as you can't do anything with it....

I'm getting the no connection error quite a lot. There are some areas on my commute where it was always patchy but I can be without connection for up to 50 miles so certainly not related to mobile coverage.
