Tyre equivalent for 245/40 R19
I have a F10 535 (UK Model, not X-drive); factory tyres came with staggered setup as
245/40 R19 fronts and 275/35 R19 rears. Now, its tyres are coming up for replacements. It currently has Michelin Primacy; and I am now looking to get either Michelin Pilot Sport 4 or the better Pilot Sport 4S. Problem is that Michelin does not do the 245/40 R19 size in either PS4 or PS4S, so I am looking for an equivalent R19 tyre size for the fronts. I'd like to keep the rears (if possible ?) at 275/35 R19. Will a 255/35 be suitable at the front? Other choices? I am not looking at any specific setups; just something that will not cause tramlining or other tracking issues; just something that will work on the F10. Help please?

I just had a look on the Michelin website and they list 245/40/r19 for the PS4?
http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/car-...=false&usage=0 Try your local Costco, usually best price and service for Michelin. |

Can't find both sizes in either PS4 or PS4S. The only choice is Primacy 3 - which I already have and am not keen on having again.

255/35 will result in a smaller diameter and a speedo error of about 2.7% fast. If that size is not on the sticker inside the driver's door then it is not an approved size, so your insurance company will need to know. Up to you if you tell them of course. There are other brands of tyre which BMW fit as original equipment equipment. |

I guess I am going to go with Goodyear Eagle F1 AS3 - as these seem to be the next best ones as of now.
I am tempted by Conti CS6, but have heard that their longevity is really bad.
