Tire pressure question - 17"

I'm off on vacation, so just had my new winter tires mounted (4x 225/55/R17). The guy at the tire shop set them to around 2.55 bar each which isn't bad, but according to the plaque for fully loaded (my case) pressures should be 2.5-2.6 bars fronts and 3.0-3.1 bars back. So I set the fronts to 2.5 bars and the rears to 2.9 bars (3.1 seems way too high - 3.1 bars + 4 psi for hot tires would be at or exceeding the tire's 50 psi max limit). Does this sound right? What pressures are you running with 17"? Thanks.

34psi front, 36psi back...
Check what figures your reading as that sounds like the 'full load' numbers..
