Space looks great on an e60... Agreed on the spider alloys, pity they don't suit an f10.... Do they?

E60's have aged rather well IMO, wasn't keen on the look when they came out but now they look spectacular!

The V10 in the M5 wasn't bad either

The big day

Picked up my new 520d from my dealer this morning. Spectacular.

Loving it even though I've only done few miles.

Here are some initial pictures as I first saw the car in pride of place in front of the showroom. Also managed to get my E60 530d side by side . Just to say goodbye and welcome the new beast !!

More pictures to follow

Brilliant, congrats on the new car, hopefully you'll get into 6-figure mileage without any dramas.

Interesting to see the two cars side by side. The F10 has always seemed a lot more subtle in terms of styling, but when you see it next to the E60 it actually has a lot more going on up front.

Happy motoring.

Nice looking motor! Darker colours suited the e60, I think white could have had it's day now on f10s?
Enjoy the new car, there's nothing like it!

I would be interested to hear your experiences of active cruise, I think I am right in saying that you have it?

Nigel, looks great mate, enjoy it.

I think the E60 has aged well, but against your like for like F10, it looks dated, how interesting!!

Nice car. The adaptive lights make a huge difference to the front cosmetic appearance of the car.

It's pity they so expensive, I would have had to lose a couple of things, including MFD..

Just got back from a very relaxing drive to that there London. ACC makes the journey seem effortless and we got out of the car feeling like we had just got in.
The ACC took a lot of the thinking away - brilliant in the Roadworks on the M1(all 50 miles of them in total!!)

I thought they were quite reasonable. People look in awe when the lights do their magic.

Brilliant, I am looking forward to just sitting back and resisting the temptation to hit the brakes!

Thanks for the feedback

The Traffic Jam Assistant is also very helpful too.
I was driving in London yesterday afternoon - bloody hell, talk about insanity.
Those Black cabs are a menace to society. The Blind spot monitoring saved my bacon so many times I lost count.
