Standard DAB radio settings

Hi all,

During the handover of my car last week, the salesman gave me the standard tour of the car. When we got to the radio he altered the treble & bass settings from the defaults to putting the bass up to 75% and treble to 100% saying that would give me the best sound out of the radio.

Did anyone else's salesman do or say something similar? I'm just interested to know if this is a general BMW thing or if it was just the personal thoughts of my particular salesman.

Sounds weird, I've got those set in the middle, neutral.

Same here. I run my hi-fi speaker option (676) in mid positions.

I'd certainly start with the neutral positions (a balanced sound) and tweak to suit your own hearing.

Ive had my stereo set for a couple of days what the OP got told from bmw. Works a treat, lots better imo.

I have the HK sound which is very good, all settings are in the middle apart from the bass which is about 40% - my ears no longer tolerate the thumping since I turned 40.
