Simulator needed for Downpipes?

Hi guys, asking to see if anyone has had any experience with the catless Downpipes by VRSF. Does it throw a CEL? If so how did you hurt rid of it? I have a JB4 but to my knowledge it won?t get rid of it? Wanted to get them installed but want to make sure I don?t have a CEL.

Thanks!

So the O2 defoulers work on the N63? I thought they should but I have heard others say the new BMW systems are good at detecting issues with the cat even after using an 02 bung, and it will illuminate the SES light.

Is anyone using catless dps with the N63 and 02 defoulers with no SES light?

I also want to get catless dps, but I do not want to drive with the SES light on or have to keep clearing it.

OP Mentioned VRSF downpipes which means he's not referring to the N63 because they never made any for the platform.

As people have discussed with you, you can also find other threads on here and bimmerfest, people have tried these defoulers and they do not work on the N63, myself included. Don't waste your time and money.

Here's one thread of someone trying some options, worked for a few miles and CEL eventually comes back. Get a JB4 BETA (not BMS Stage 1 or 2) or find a BMS CAN tool, it automatically clears the CEL before it even pops up but it's an expensive find because they're now discontinued by BMS due to legal issues.

Maybe they work on the N55, but definitely not the N63.

All catless downpipes will throw a code without a tune or some kind of spacer

There actually is a tune now and options for downpipes. Check out the delimiter thread or hit up badblack for more info.
