Smile F10 Electric parking brake

I am a huge fan of the electric parking brake on the F10. It does exactly what you would expect it to do, however I am even more impressed by the 'Auto' mode.
When stopping at a junction with Auto mode on, the car stops as normal but you can remove your foot off the footbrake without the car moving, until you press the right pedal. Great for stop-start traffic.
And when you turn the car off, it automatically puts the parking brake on.
What do other F10 owners / test drivers think?

Can't wait to try it out, especially with the 6MT. About another 5 weeks to go, I guess.

Looking forward to it. Sounds like a great feature. How does it handle stopping on hills in auto mode? Thanks.

We have this on our X5 and love it, holds perfectly on hills. The only part I don't like is I have to manually turn it on every time I get in the vehicle but that's not too bad. After starting the engine, instead of pressing (or lifting) the switch to release the parking brake I press the switch for auto hold.

Personally I'm a huge fan of the center pull-up ratchet parking brake lever. It makes driver training a lot less stressful, for one thing. For another, its use can be modulated if necessary. And the hill roll-back control on my car is just a one or two-second delay on the release of the brakes, which makes uphill starts with the clutch a breeze.

Ditto. It's one of my favorite features on the Wife's new X5.
