Why didn't you just get an m-Sport? I agree, shadowline trim is the way to go. The car looks fantastic though. I just wonder how mu dough you put into it vs. an m package.

thank you.

Actually, not much. I think M package is $6000. Mine total mod cost is under $5000. I got all replica parts and cheap wheels. ha ha. I think for looks, it doesn't really have to be OEM parts, as long as you can find good replica parts.

But even if I had M sport package, I would have still changed the rear diffusor, adding the front lip, lower the car, change the wheels, and add the roof spoiler. So really the only thing that I get from the M package cosmetically is the front bumper, which I paid about $800 for the parts, paint, and install.

makes sense. Again, it looks really good. I am also a big fan of replica wheels. I have had better luck with them over the years than OEM. The only thing I would do to your car is lose the chrome trim and black out the grills.

yeah, Love the aftermarket replica wheels! They are cheap and durable enough. I only go for the looks, not the performance. So stronger wheels that's total 80 lbs lighter isn't the objective. That's not really gonna help mine 535i run faster anyway.

Then again, if I am super rich and money isn't the issue.........

I thought about replacing with black grill, then I have to black out the fender trim and also the door trim, too.

Door trim will be nice if it is black. But I don't want fender trim to be black, since I like it to stand out.

Does your exhaust drone at about the 1600-2200 RPM range? I also have a magnaflow solution and it seems like thats all i hear at that range.

A shop on Western. Near Peterson. It is a good shop and did a good job for a reasonable price. But I think they try to rip me off on something else. I think it's called "the body shop". you can try them or there is another one that I am currently using to fix my rear bumper issue.

The only good job I did was that I got all mods on my car done for under $5k!!!! Some people spend that much on a set of wheels (Super nice wheels of course).

Thanks for the info. I am definitely getting the M Sport bumper.. Debating whether to go with the Umnitza M-kit or the M5 kit.... Not sure I can wait till 6/15 for the M5 kit to be available though...

I also heard great things about the A&L Autobody in Palatine, which is a lot closer to where I live.

I would go with M sport. M5 kit is like trying to copy an M5 when it is not.

If you wanna stop by to take a look at my car one day, you are more than welcome.
Also, I can probably hook you up with the M bumper and the front lip to, if you want some contacts.
By the way, I asked the body shop for you, he will do it for $400. painted and installation of the front bumper and lip.

Thanks. I ordered the entire kit (front, rear and side) from umnitza and will have A&L Autobody at Palatine to do it. They have good rep and much closer to where I live. Same price for painting and install on the front.
