F10 JB4 plus BMS intake review

So just added the above mods too my 2013 535i m pkg 32k miles. I had 09 335i with similar mods before this running 5 gals of e85.

Initially after the install I was pulling 11-12 psi and was not really impressed as my 335i was doing 14 w/out e85 and 16-17 with e85. So I bit the bullet and added 5 gals to the f10 as well and did 3 to 4 3rd gears wots and there it was that 16-17psi butt dyno feel. I know the car is not as light n nimble as 335i but it did feel much better specially with 8 speed auto transmission.

Checked for code numerous times but no codes everything normal. I don't have any e85 piggy cables or anything just normal install. Will update if any codes or problem but for now no issues.

I also came from a 335i and now have the 535i with the same mods as you have. I feel like I can't tell much of a difference running the JB4 in this car. I think I'm going to try E85.

Ya add 5 gals and do some 3rd or 4th gears wots. I normally start around 3k rpm all the way to 6500 then slow down and repeat at-least 3 times and I'm sure u will feel a big difference.

I think one major issue is that in n54 we could hijack gauges to see boost and with f10 we can't as of yet and that plays a major part of not feeling much difference as we don't have visual confirmation of boost.

So there's nothing we can do or no one has tried to pull signals for boost whether it's mechanical or electrical boost guage?

Keep us updated if any issues without any e85 wiring
I've heard of some 1 series doing this as well up to 2-3 gallons of e85 on their stage1 and stage2 w/o e85 wires.
Good luck

I have the E85 wiring however I haven't installed it yet. I did however put 4.5 gallons of E85 in tonight. Will test it out on the highway tomorrow. I really should of done more research before buying the F10 535i. I would of totally went with a 550i and modded that for more power.

As long as u do 3rd gear WOTS u should push between 15-17psi and that is a huge difference from stock or map1. 550i never driven but I'm sure that is a totally different beast.

There is Dash Command. It has the ability to read a lot of different engine parameters including psi. I can't vouch for its accuracy but I don't think it's horribly off. I have the GSR Technik tune and it shaved .4 seconds from my 0-60. I'll try it to see what psi I am getting with 91 and again with a couple of gallons of e85. Just have to confirm with them I can do that.

JB4 itself has an app called JB4 connect and if u order the Bluetooth connect from there web u can use it wirelessly with ur phone or tablet. Change maps see gauges, update firmware read and change parameters and clear codes no need of laptop.
