As a 520d owner I can tell you that:
+There's NO vibration whatsoever +You can HARDLY even hear the engine when inside +The torque is great and the HP sufficient - the car does not feel underpowered at all - of course, there's the throttle delay thing which pisses me of, but that's a general issue +You get very good mileage on highways -At idling engine if you are outside you can definitely tell that it's a 4 cylinder diesel. It's not that bad, but it's nowhere near a hum -For urban driving I recommend a petrol car, especially for short distances - I drive daily in a stop and go traffic and my mileage is anything but impressive - 10l/100 (US 23.5 mpg / UK 28 mpg) Last edited by Breach; 01-18-2012 at 03:43 PM.. |

Thanks for the update, but I guess a 4-pot diesel is bound to exhibit a bunch of + with a few - as well.
