Sure, if things get extreme, the M3 is a winner. Plus the M3 sounds fantastic. But if you're doing like 30,000 (urban/suburban) miles per year, you really wanna attack each corner like you're Lewis Hamilton? The M550d is much faster than the 535d and I expect the experience to be just as effortless. Therefore I would prefer the diesel over the 550i. Just because the diesel is a more laid-back drive. Not because of MPG or price.

Hi
First time I have posted on this site can I just say really like the site only registered today but have been looking on here for a couple of weeks. I am looking at getting the new X6M 5.0d later in the year and went down to see my dealer yesterday. He gave me a document that is doing the rounds internally in BMW that explains how the engine works so I though I would share it with you guys apologies for the bad quality but thats how it turned out when i scanned it in.
