A gift from BMW North America

To my surprise, I received a gift from BMW, NA. It was attached to a letter thanking me for purchasing my 528i. It's a USB key. My 528i is black on black. Yes I know, I really don't own one until I post a pic - thought I would show the gift first I came over from a 335i bad turbo experience - I am quite happy with my 528i.

Actually it's very substantial and has some weight to it. Only 2 Gig though. Nice gift.

I must admit, I'd be quite happy to receive one from BMW UK... It's a cool little freebie!

Had the new car a few weeks now, it's not too late 'UK.... (hint hint!)

I got one too. Supposedly it has a bunch of info on it, but when I plugged it into any of my computers, all I got was an app that basically redirected me to BMWUSA.com. Anybody else succeed in getting anything else out of it?

It's actually quite substantial, being completely made of metal. It has a flash-based media presentation that shows some highlights of the BMW process, including a very interesting mini-feature about how the headlights were engineered. It was (IMO) a nice gesture on the part of BMW NA.

I got one too. I think it's pretty nice little touch for an unexpected freebie. It did come with info. You can see some informational videos and like you said it also has a link to redirect you to the site.

Included in the M3 "Drivers Package" is a "BMW Drivers Training".

For that training we all received a gift from BMW:

But this USB stick has a purpose: During the training, every time I am driving the M3, I plug the USB stick into a USB slot in the glovebox. We had a Vbox or similar equipment in our M392's and two cams, so all actions are recorded to the stick. Here one example (stick includes 4GB of data after that day ). http://www.itf-clan.net/joegun/stuff/VBOX0048.avi.
