Hello,
I get 2011 523 and need to change the front bumper only, which will be better the replica Mtech bumper or M5 bumper. -Mtech -M5 Kit |

I have the M5 rep bumper and it looks awesome. The M5 reps are a direct fit and nothing else needs to be modified. The Mtech rep requires trimming of the air duct and some other pieces behind the bumper and I decided against that.

You really can't go wrong either way. I lean slightly towards the Mtech.

Also something to think about is if you're planning on adding a lip, the m-tech has more options. I was in the same boat a week ago and decided on the m tech. I prefer a more oe look.

If I ever upgrade the front bumper I'd go M5 with the carbon fiber V2 splitter/canard combo...It just looks ridiculously sick! but I'd do it right using OEM M5 fenders to give it that wider stance.

Mtech and m5 are very similar. Expect for the fog light part. If you dip the fog lights black then it's really hard to tell the difference.

M5 for sure. Too bad the Mtech Bumper did not get updated for the LCI cars. I'll just say this. There's this nice little blue haired old lady that lives down the street from me that has an Mtech 528i. One day she drove by me and waved when my car was stock. Needless to say I went with the M5 front bumper.
