Lane Departure & HUD

2014 535xi.

The Lane departure symbol is shown in the dash between the two gauges but not in the HUD. However, in every BMW hud picture I've seen including their hud video it shows lane departure in HUD. Is this a Europe thing and can it be coded? Additionally...if you hold down the HUD button for 20 seconds you can scroll through a bunch of screens and you can see that the lane departure symbol is there.

HUD is suppose to help you keep your eyes straight ahead yet no turn signals, lane departure, fuel, tach, etc. Most HUD displays have all of that and more.

My 2013 535i HUD does not display lane departure warning also and dealer does not know why. If you get further info please advise. Thanks!

In my previous 2011 535iX, it used to be in the HUD -- but as noted, it's not there anymore with my 2014 535dX, and I miss it!

I have had two guys that do coding tell me that they can't code the LDW in the hud on a 2014. But the third guy said yes you can and I had him do some coding for me and he DID put the LDW in the hud along with the turn signals............Just a matter of finding the right guy.

I have a 2014 LCI and the turn signals and LDW show up in the HUD. Vehicle coded by Alex @ Alpine.
