Just so we don't replicate the thread check out the N55 tune thread in the F30 forum.

Thats impressive... will you guys be doing a 535i for results? They seem to be the red headed step child of the N55 world and also produce quite a bit less power with mods as compared to the 3 series stuff.

Congrats on your new product.
Looks like a flash tune from what I saw in your thread, correct?

When you have the tune all set, would we be able to send you an ECU to flash? I don't have ready access to California.

Yes, we are already doing this for remote customers. We can turn the ECU around the same day we receive it.

The HP number, at first glance, doesn't seem that impressive but we know these cars can't breathe on the top end so max HP gain looks a little light, but... look at the HP differential in the midrange - from 3,000 RPM to 5,000 RPM the average HP gain is almost +80hp. We really focused on torque to try and get those extra 5-Series lbs moving. Thanks to Bmw doubles for spending most of his day with us while we went through multiple iterations of the tune. In and out, in and out goes the ECU.

This is a new Stage 1 N55 torque record +120 wtq - holy turbine Batman.

Any updates on more 535 or N55 ?
How are the HP numbers lately?
Is it due to 91 octane or SoCal weather also ?

If it had intake or drop-in filter, DP, net better HP ?

Nick,

Great numbers, have you compared to jb4?
I'm currently using jb4 but I'm waiting for a real tuner.
Any thoughts on a hand held tuner like the Cobb?
Would sell like crazy.

I don't think anyone has done back to back on 535 specifically. There's numbers from an M235i on 2Addicts but that was more of a test comparing JB4 on E30 vs. our Stage 2 on 91.

Right now the tamper protection hasn't effectively been broken to tune through the OBDII port without making it obvious that the car has been tuned. The market is pretty small that don't care about tamper protection so until that is solved you are probably not going to see any handheld OBDII type solution.
