Software Update Available for Connected iDrive

Looks like Corporate released another update to the iDrive telecommunications and USB/music interface. Version UPD01008 now supersedes the previous UPD01006.

Here's the link to the BMW site (have the last 7 of your VIN available in order to proceed with the download):

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/con...re_update.html

The file is only 8.07 MB, and after downloading onto a USB drive (I did NOT unzip the file prior to plugging into my vehicle), I performed the update via the USB port in the center console in less than 5 minutes. With the new software plugged into your vehicle, the process is completed from the "Software Update" function found under the "Settings" menu on iDrive.

FYI...

Not really. I'm running an iPhone 5S (iOS 8.1.2) and an iPod Nano for muzak, and it seems to be business as usual...
