2016 535IX Drive....is it LCI or Pre LCI?
Hi all. I'm new to the forum and new to BMW. Recently sold my 2000 Accord Coupe EX V6 with 120k miles (no lie on the mileage) and picked up this off lease 2016 535i x-drive with cold weather package, driver assistance package, and premium package. I have plans to order the M sport full body kit from Kiesmotosports with PDC (because OEM is double the price.) I have seen images on the LCI vs pre LCI models of the car but cant figure out for the life of me which version I have in order to place the correct order.. Some post say the LCI models have the led headlights and the signals on the outer rear-view mirror housing. I don't have the led headlight, but have the signals in the rear-view housing. My fog lights also do not look like the LCI. Is it even possible to have a 2016 but pre LCI? Any help is greatly appreciated. Other than that, I already changed all my interior lights to pure white led, coded trunk and rearview mirrors, and added 70% VLT tints (NYC cops are jerks and not paying $400.00 tint tickets.) Love this car so far.

Its LCI, since the 2014 model was the start of F10 LCI. Looks like the bottom front bumper of an LCI too.
120K miles on an Accord sounds like it just got broken in. Should go way past 300,000 miles. |

Kies Motorsports is the way to do it!!! I did the front bumper conversion on my 2011 and MAN did it make a difference! It comes with EVERYTHING you need, and fitment is extremely good, all materials and supplied parts are very high quality. I did it with some of my friends at their shop on our own and it was pretty easy.

OK so LCI it is. Thanks for clarifying. Yeah actually nothing was really wrong with my Accord, but just out grew it since I had bought it new as a college gift. Just needed a new look plus I didn't want to have to spend money on repairs that would always be on average more than $500. Just time for a new project. |

Yeah, and don't go with the cheap eBay conversion kits, they look the same in pics but the measurements are usually way off. I did get the CF M5 Style grilles and the M4 CF mirror caps from eBay though, those were pretty good for the price. These cars are extremely quiet from the factory the M Performance mufflers will wake it up nicely but still be mild for daily driving. I haven't touched the sound system or iDrive and dash because those are all pretty expensive components and I personally don't find that shelling out that kind of money would be rewarding to me.
