Removing snap in adaptor

Anyone remove the snap in adaptor on the f10?

This is from facebook f10 group for germany.Is easy to change it,just have few torx.
"there are 2 Torx Screws, one under the lock to open the traffic room (small aperture) the other you have to take out the ashtray. Then you can lift the top of the centre console by about 15 cm. Then you'll see 2 screws for the subject."

So you need to remove the whole center console? I have a 6 speed and my ashtray is in the front of the shifter

You can also change the snapin adapter for a usb socket, I added one into mine

I have the unit and I don't use it... so I want to remove it like the picture

Push down on the white arrow at the front. The adapter will pop out.

If you have LCI LHD without 4-zone climate just buy it and change yourself it cant be hard work. (51 16 9 277 267)
For 4 zone climate number is (51169334683)

Does anyone know if this part number would work for a 2013 with 4 zone climate control? I am tired of the snap in adapter.

Where is a good place to source the bottom pic without the very large holes for the clip in iPhone holder? I wish it was as easy as taking out the iPhone clip and gain more room.

Anyone have a place for me to purchase it?

I'm possibly interested in adding another usb socket.

Does it function in addition to the normal usb socket in the centre consol?

Could you possibly share the part number and a picture?

Would the addition of another usb socket interfere with the enhanced bluetooth for either calls or music from a phone.

I really want to remove that phone snap-in adaptor! Could someone get me part numbers needed? Such as the rubber mats? Also pictures for removal would be perfect.
There is so little information for this car online!
