Aftermarket Headlight Issues (2013 BMW 528i)

My father owns a 528i and recently got aftermarket headlights. After around a year or so, they gave out on him giving codes like “vertical light malfunction” and “Left & Right headlight malfunction” (paraphrasing because I’m not looking at the codes right now).

The lights don’t work at all other than the halos and the start blinking at times

Any Ideas what might be the cause of this???

What year is it? and when did they go out? did they go at the same time? do they suffer from any condensation? it could be a few things, I would suggest first checking connections. see if anything is burnt out, damaged, ETC, I currently have my driver headlamp with a similar malfunction and it was due to condensation that was never addressed by the previous owner, now I am planning on giving it some love that it deserves.
