Front plate question
I live in NYC and plan to getting a M sport replica bumper painted and installed. I have to have a front plate, but don't want it screwed onto my front bumper. I've seen a few people here on the forum and around town who have the front plate on their lower bumper grille. Will doing that affect my cars performance in any way? Cooling?

I don't feel any impact in performance. I've also been monitoring temps and I'm not seeing an increase especially now since it's starting to get cooler here.

I tried a few things like zip ties and 3M tape. I even contemplated a US Mill mount. In the end, I used spring nuts. 25 cents each from you local hardware store.
See my thread from a about a month ago (with pics)... http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=872266 |

Go with the US Mill Works or 3M locking tape, you won't regret it. I wouldn't touch hidetheplate as it is quite a clumsy design, unless that's what interests you.
